Increasing number of leaders are taking biodiversity topics onto their agendas, but how to link them tightly with your business and growth? Circular business models have demonstrated a clear connection between sustainability and good business, but the connection is not yet so evident when it comes to biodiversity.

    For more than 20 years, Mari has held leadership positions focused on solving ecological sustainability challenges, including UPM, Finnish Cleantech Cluster and the Finnish Government's Cleantech Programme and Sitra. She serves on the boards of several organisations and holds docentships at the University of Helsinki and Lappeenranta and Lahti University of Technology.

    In the event, Mari will share her unique insights and experiences on building ecologically sustainable businesses.

    SVP Food BU, Valio Ltd.

    Kimmo is an experienced business leader with passion for plant based, food tech and growth. He has extensive experience in the international FMCG and food industry from Valio and Mars. At Valio he is in charge of the food business and involved in all strategic new business development initiatives. He graduated from London Business School. Kimmo will share how Valio has been able to create new, innovative and sustainable businesses while aligning business goals with biodiversity conservation.

    VP Chemical Recycling, Neste Renewable Polymers and Chemicals

    Heikki has a demonstrated history of working in the renewable materials and fuels sectors on a quest to enable circularity of plastics. Heikki has broad experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Leadership, Business Strategy, and Management Consulting at McKinsey. He will offer valuable perspectives on how an industrial player has approached building new businesses while taking biodiversity into consideration.
